Iran actor joins new project

Iranian actor Pouriya Poursorkh joins ‘Patio’ directed by Maryam Bahrololoumi.

Poursorkh will appear before the camera soon alongside other Iranian artists including Behnaa Jafari, Behnoush Bakhriari, Babak Ansari and Karim Amini.

Born in 1977, Poursorkh studied Plant Physiology and made his acting debut in 2004 with the series ‘Great Escape’.

He gained fame with his performance in the series ‘Vafa’ (2005).

Among the movies in which he has performed are ‘Anahita’ (2008), ‘Hussein Who Said No’ (2010), ‘Mr. Alef’ (2012).

Poursorkh has also appeared in many series including ‘The Spiritualists’ (2006), ‘Day of Envy’ (2008), ‘The Redemption’ (2009), ‘Free Fall’ (2011), ‘Matador’ (2012) and ‘Kimiya’ (2015).

For his performance in ‘The Third Day’ (2006), Poursorkh received nomination for the Best Leading Actor from Fajr International Film Festival.

Produced by Seyyed Amir Seyyedzadeh, ‘Patio’ which narrates a feminine story set in the city will be based on a script written Hamed Ghasemi, titled ‘The Roof Bell’.

After making some fictional and experimental short films, ‘Patio’ is the first indie experience of Maryam Bahrololoumi as director with cinematographer Massoud Amini Tyrani and sound recordist Ali Kian Ersi accompanying the helmer.
